The best bit I remember was your design reviews and the 3D walk through of the skid designs. This helped tremendously to involve the client and get their ownership before delivery.

We have received excellent engineering and after sales support for our pumps from the Australian Fluid Handling team which has always performed very professionally and with good care.

Ertac Korkusuz Lead Mechanical Engineer, Qenos Botany

I am pleased to comment on AFH performance with the projects that I have handled during 2005 to 2008.

After sale services on Sundyne pumps operating at Huntsman Chemical Company West Footscray

Very good. Worth mentioning an incident that AFH attended immediately for a call out during a pump failure to identify the root cause and give recommendations.

Supply of Chemical Dosing Packages to Mobil Altona Refinery

Very good. AFH managed to design, fabricate, test and deliver the packages as per the specifications. AFH responded immediately to all the queries during evaluation of bids. AFH was resilient to various changes taken place during design and fabrication stages. The 3D model presentation used by AFH during the design review is commendable.

Knowledge Sharing

Very good. AFH has assisted us in finding technical information on equipment selection and failure root cause analysis when requested.

Ananda Lokuliyana Principal Mechanical Engineer, WorleyParsons (Footscray Office)

I have known Gary Sandler for 20 years and can vouch that he is very knowledgeable about pumps, customer focus and fair dinkum. I have great pleasure in dealing with him.

Paul Yee Principal Engineer, Caltex Refineries

I strongly suggest you make contact with Tim Cocking or Gary Sandler at Australian Fluid Handling. I have found them to be very professional in dealings over many years. Please note also that AFH can make the multiple pumps into a skid unit with pumps, valves, meters, gauges, drip tray etc. I have seen these previously and they are a real treat.

Paul Rijsdijk Maintenance Supervisor, BP Bulwer Island Refinery

While I would like to provide a testimonial, I don’t think that it’s appropriate as I’m an independent contractor.

Rest assured though, that I always give people positive feedback when they ask about AFH.

I found AFH’s ability to drive a package from concept to completion very impressive.

The innovative use of 3D solid modelling provided us with an excellent tool to ensure the package met our stringent access and layout requirements. Additionally, this tool was extremely useful to integrate the equipment within our plant model.

AFH’s willingness to interact with our document control system and to meet our documentation standards was also vitally important.

High levels of communication and a collaborative relationship helped to deliver an excellent package.

Luke Farrar PSN package engineer

I have been dealing with Trevor Lohman for just over a year in regard to Methanol and Demulsifier Chemical Injection Packages. Trevor has given us excellent help through all this time, firstly when looking at various variation options and then with the Factory Acceptance Test. The few comments which were made on equipment during the FAT were actioned almost immediately.

Trevor has also given us good guidance after delivery of the equipment, which has allowed us to use one set of pumps for a temporary purpose which was not originally envisaged.

Access and maintainability have been well thought out in the layouts of both packages. It is obvious that AFH is experienced with these sorts of packages.

The quality of the equipment is first class with no rework required during manufacture.

In summary, we are very happy with AFH’s performance on this project with the people and systems currently in place.

Alan Henderson Mechanical Engineer – Consultant, Blacktip Project, Eni Australia Limited

There were some problems with alignment of the Ktec Level Gauge flanges, and as such Bluewater /AFH had no alternative but to cut them off and re-weld them.

AFH had anticipated this problem (especially for 1500# RTJ flanges), and had already made allowances in the construction of the vessel to accommodate some inaccuracies by Ktec. Unfortunately these allowances had proven to be insufficient to accommodate the necessary planar alignment of the flange faces, and so the connecting flanges of the level gauges were removed completely and re-welded to correct the error.

AFH has demonstrated with confidence that all rework was performed in a professional manner, and that Level Gauges are still rated at their original design pressure and temperature.

We appreciated AFH’s effort to complete the task and absorbed the extra cost incurred in the re-weld work.

CT Lim Lead Mechanical Engineer, WorleyParsons

In our dealings with AFH, we have always found them to be very helpful, professional and timely. The technical and service support has been provided promptly and has met our expectations.
