Gas pipeline transfer compressor
Contractual requirements for surety of gas supply in remote Western Australia resulted in the need for duty and standby pipeline interconnect compression packages.

The range of duties required to be performed resulted in an electric motor, variable speed driven centrifugal compressor package and its’ associated controls.
At the heart of the package is a Sundyne (API 617) LMC331 single stage compressor with dual unpressurised gas seals. The integral speed increasing gearbox is lubricated by an external lube oil system in basic compliance with API 614.
The package is fully automated as this is an unattended site and includes main suction, discharge isolation and surge protection control valves.
For maximum reliability and safety, the package is equipped with gas detection, fire suppression equipment, acoustic treatment, gas detection, seal and lube oil system monitoring and process control input instrumentation.
Not shown is the package dedicated control panel which is responsible for start up, shutdown, surge protection, condition, seal and lube oil system monitoring.
